Policies

These policies are designed to ensure that lessons run smoothly and efficiently, creating a positive learning environment for all students. By setting clear expectations, we can make the most of our time together, maintain consistency, and respect everyone’s schedules

Makeup Lessons

  • The studio offers one make-up lesson slot per week, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • If a student provides at least 24 hours’ notice of an absence and the make-up slot is available, they will be offered the opportunity to attend that make-up lesson. If the make-up slot has already been filled for the week, or if the offered time is not suitable for the student, no alternative make-up lesson will be provided.
  • If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, the lesson will be considered missed and a cancellation fee will apply:
    • $20 for a missed 30-minute lesson
    • $30 for a missed 60-minute lesson
  • These policies are in place to ensure fairness and to manage studio time effectively.

Payments Terms

  • Tuition may be paid on a by term, monthly or weekly basis.
  • Weekly payments must be made in advance, prior to the scheduled lesson.
  • Tuition paid on a termly basis must be settled before the second lesson of the term or within the first two weeks of the term. This helps in planning and securing your spot for the entire term.
  • Monthly payments are due at the start of each month.

Policy on Student Termination

  • If a student decides to discontinue taking lessons, the studio requests at least one-month advance notice. Depending upon the reason for the termination, the studio may refund pre-paid lessons in its discretion.

Teacher Termination

  • The studio reserves the right to terminate the contract with the student/parent if the student has excessive absences. Prior to any decision to terminate, the teacher will meet with the parents to discuss the situation. Refunds for pre-paid lessons will be provided at the discretion of the studio.

Photos and Video

  • Before any photos or videos are taken, the studio will always seek consent from both parents and students. If you prefer that your child’s photos or videos are not used, please inform the studio in writing. Your preferences will be fully respected.

Punctuality

  • Please arrive on time for your lesson. Lessons cannot be extended for late arrivals, as this affects other students’ schedules.

Parental Attendance

  • Parents are welcome to observe lessons especially for younger students.
